Turkmenabad Chemical Plant overfulfilled production plans for the half year

Turkmenabad Chemical Plant, one of the largest industrial enterprises of Turkmenistan, has exceeded its production plans for phosphate mineral fertilizers in the first half of the year, Turkmenistan Golden Age portal reported.

The plant produced more than 135 thousand tons of ammonium superphosphate, exceeding the six-month plan by more than 8.5 thousand tons. Ammonium superphosphate proved to be a more efficient fertilizer compared to alternatives.

In addition to fertilizers, the Turkmenabad plant produces a number of other chemical products, including 186 t of electrolyte and 200 t of oxyhumate in the first half of the year. Sulphuric acid production reached 46,000 tons, boosted by the recent modernization of the plant's sulphuric acid shop using modern equipment from Japan.

More than 1,300 specialists, including experienced workers and recent graduates of the local technical school that supplies personnel, contribute to the increase in production volumes. The focus on specialist training has ensured a steady increase in employment at a chemical enterprise of national importance.

The company's management intends to continue to exceed targets and expand the product range through continuous research and development. New products include ceramic products, pipes, drums and other specialty chemicals.

The Turkmenabad Chemical Plant was opened in 1960 and has undergone modernization in recent years to improve the quality and volume of its output. The increase in production volumes in 2023 emphasizes the importance of the plant to the national economy and its role as a major employer in the region.
