Turkmenistan and UAE discuss prospects for cooperation

On November 10, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan M. Byashimova held a working meeting in Ashgabat with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates headed by Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, member of the UAE Federal National Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Center for Combating Violent Extremism "Hidayat". This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The sides discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation and prospects for further partnership. The dynamic development of the political dialog at the highest level between Turkmenistan and the UAE in recent years was noted.

Special attention was paid to the important role of the inter-parliamentary friendship group of the two countries. The parties emphasized the need to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation.

In addition, a great potential for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE in the spheres of energy, transportation and ecology was noted.

At the end of the meeting, the Turkmen side expressed a wish for the successful holding of the upcoming SOR28 conference on climate change in Dubai in November-December 2023.
