Turkmenistan became a participant of the World Utilities Congress

As part of a working visit to the UAE, the Turkmen delegation headed by Deputy Energy Minister of Turkmenistan took part in the World Congress of Public Utilities in Abu Dhabi from September 16 to 18. This is reported by Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan was also represented at the event by delegates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Concern "Turkmengaz". In total, over 1400 delegates from 90 countries took part in the Congress.

During the opening ceremony of the Congress, topical issues of global water problems were considered. Attention was paid to improvement of water resources management and adoption of relevant policies. Turkmen delegates visited the exhibition of achievements in the energy sector.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan Nurmammet Nurmammedov drew attention to the development of renewable energy in the country during the session "Tripling the capacity of renewable energy sources: from plans to actions".
