On April 24 this year, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy Michael Harms. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Chairman of Turkmenistan's Khalk Maslakhaty noted that Germany is one of the country's key partners in the EU in various spheres. During the meeting, the effective partnership of the two states in the medical industry, agriculture, banking sector, transportation and communication, trade and economic spheres was noted.
The Turkmen side expressed readiness to consider specific proposals of the Committee of the German Economy on cooperation in the fields of advanced technologies, "green" energy, construction of inclusive and "smart" cities.
