Turkmenistan and Iran signed a number of joint documents

A number of bilateral documents were signed following the meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Economic Cooperation. This is reported by the Internet edition of Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

In connection with the deepening of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, the parties signed a Framework Agreement between the electric power companies of the countries to ensure financing of the Turkmen part of the Mary-Mashhad transmission line.

In addition, the parties reached an agreement on expanding partnership in the transportation and communication sphere. In this regard, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Agency for Road Construction Management of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Road and Urban Construction of IRI on the construction of the Gumdag-Etrek-Iran border highway.
