Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka discuss expansion of partnership

Islamabad, June 30 - Arzuw.news. Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov held a meeting with newly appointed Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan Rear Admiral Fred Seneviratne, Arzuw.news reported citing the press attaché of Turkmenistan's Embassy in Pakistan.

The diplomats expressed mutual interest in intensifying business contacts and expanding partnership in various spheres. The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the prospects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The sides noted the significant potential for the development of relations between the two states. The interlocutors confirmed their intention to maintain a permanent dialog through the existing diplomatic channels and cooperation mechanisms.

Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka were established on May 28, 1992. Information about the meeting was provided by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan.
