Turkmenistan names priorities for the 79th session of the UNGA

Turkmenistan has presented priorities for the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. The initiatives to be announced during the UNGA are aimed at maintaining peace and security and promoting multilateral cooperation. This is reported by the Internet edition "CentralAsia.news".

Turkmenistan plans to submit to the UNGA draft resolutions "Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia", "Central Asian Zone of Peace, Confidence and Cooperation" and "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan".

In the context of sustainable development, the Turkmen side will propose the development of the Global Framework Program for Transition to Circular Economy. The project contains activities in the field of sustainable transportation. One of Turkmenistan's future initiatives is to organize the Second Caspian Environmental Forum. A number of Turkmenistan's initiatives will be devoted to the humanitarian sphere.
