During the SCO summit, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed five areas for cooperation between the SCO member states in his speech. This is reported by the online edition of Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
The President of Turkmenistan noted that the priority area of cooperation is the establishment of political and diplomatic relations in the sphere of information and environmental security.
He also emphasized the importance of creating new and efficient intercontinental and regional transport corridors and noted the need to implement joint projects on energy supplies, including to foreign markets.
According to the President of Turkmenistan, another area of constructive partnership of the SCO countries was the creation of a platform for cooperation in the field of high technologies. A proposal was made to establish a Regional Center for Climate Change Technologies.
