Turkmenistan participated in the Global Women's Summit 2025 in Beijing

A delegation of Turkmenistan led by Oguljennet Berdilieva, Chairperson of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan, participated in the Global Women's Summit 2025 in Beijing. The event, held on October 13, was dedicated to the theme of shaping a common future through accelerated comprehensive development of women. In her speech, the head of the Turkmen delegation spoke about the state policy in the field of ensuring women's rights. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan is working consistently to create real conditions for the equal participation of women in all key spheres, from education and health care to science, economy and public administration.

The Turkmen side also emphasized the strategic interaction with international partners, primarily with the UN structures, to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 5. Progress in this area was particularly appreciated in the context of the 30th anniversary of the historic Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, which laid the foundation for global transformation.
