Turkmenistan participates in the 10th session of the GA of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage

The Turkmen delegation is taking part in the 10th session of the General Assembly of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The event takes place on June 11-12 this year. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Over the course of two days, States Parties to the Convention will discuss pressing challenges that will enable the effective preservation of living cultural heritage around the world. During the meeting, reports of the Intergovernmental Committee and the Secretariat will be delivered. The agenda of the current session includes the election of 12 new members of the Committee and the accreditation of new NGOs. The possibilities of utilizing the Intangible Cultural Heritage Fund in the current and future years will be examined.
