Turkmen President Discusses Deepening Cooperation with Putin

On Tuesday, December 26, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited Moscow to participate in the traditional informal meeting of leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

During the working visit, the Head of Turkmenistan held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as priorities of interaction within the CIS.

The meeting of the CIS heads of state noted the high level of integration in the Commonwealth by the end of 2023. Key areas of partnership for the near future were identified, including economic cooperation, implementation of joint projects and humanitarian exchanges.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of equality and respect in relations between the CIS countries. They expressed conviction that the agreed decisions will contribute to further deepening of integration within the Commonwealth.
