Turkmenistan and Japan discuss possibilities of opening trade missions

A Turkmen-Japanese business forum organized with the assistance of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) was held in Tokyo on March 27. This is reported by the Internet edition Turkmenportal.

During the opening ceremony of the forum, the Chairman and Executive Director of JETRO Norihiko Ishiguro and Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Begench Gochmollaev made speeches. The readiness to develop Turkmen-Japanese economic cooperation was noted, as well as the need to open the Trade House of Turkmenistan in Japan and JETRO representative office in Turkmenistan.

The forum was held in three sessions devoted to the development of cooperation in the fields of investment, industry, transportation and logistics. Attention was paid to partnership in the private sector and presentation of the Turkmen national pavilion at the EXPO-2025 exhibition to be held in Osaka.

To familiarize the participants with Turkmenistan's export potential, a special video was shown. Proposals to organize business conferences, exhibitions and business visits between the countries were made. Japanese entrepreneurs were invited to hold the next Turkmen-Japanese business forum in Ashgabat.
