Turkmen agro-producers discussed pistachio tree cultivation

A scientific and practical conference on pistachio tree cultivation was held at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov. This is reported in the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The conference was attended by students of the University and other universities, specialists and entrepreneurs. Yagmyr Jumalyev, member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, expert of the economic society "Altyn jüýje", spoke at the event.

The specialist noted that the pistachio tree is well adapted to the local arid climate due to its well-developed root system. The conference participants discussed increasing pistachio tree yields, propagation and care methods, as well as fertilizers used.
