Turkmen specialists took courses in TB care

Representatives of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan took special courses on TB care in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age"..

The courses were conducted at the WHO center for introduction of new drugs and regimens for M/XDR-TB treatment at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pulmonology and Phthisiology. During the training, the medical professionals were familiarized with modern methods of detection, treatment and prevention of tuberculosis taking into account the advanced achievements of medicine in line with WHO recommendations.

As a result of the courses, specialists from the Turkmen Ministry of Health gained valuable skills in planning, implementing and monitoring TB care.
