Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister meets with Pakistan's Foreign Minister

On October 26, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan H. Geldimiradov met with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan J. Jilani. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the sides noted the successful implementation of the project on construction of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission and fiber-optic communication line.

In addition, the sides noted broad prospects for the development of cooperation in the trade and economic sector by increasing trade turnover between the countries. Oil and gas and energy spheres were also named priority areas of bilateral cooperation. It was emphasized that special importance is attached to the activities of the Joint Turkmen-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission.
