The meeting of the CIS Intergovernmental Council on Seed Production was held in Ashgabat

On September 16, Ashgabat hosted a meeting of the CIS Intergovernmental Coordination Council on Seed Production with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhalliyev, khakims of the velayats of Turkmenistan and Deputy Chairman of the ICSS Ivan Kuzmin. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of further development of cooperation. The Turkmen side presented new varieties of winter wheat developed by specialists of the Research Institute of Grain Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture. The new wheat varieties were named Serdar, Arkadag and Pyragy.

Practical application of new varieties was presented at the round table. The training of young specialists in the development of new varieties was also emphasized.
