Minsk, July 24 - Arzuw.news. The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belarus hosted a conference to mark the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. The event was held on July 23 with the participation of diplomats, representatives of international organizations and students. The conference was attended by heads of diplomatic missions, employees of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and Turkmen students studying in the country.
In his speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev emphasized that neutrality has become the basis of the country's national identity and an important tool for the development of regional dialogue in Central Asia.
UN Special Coordinator in Belarus Rasul Bagirov noted the unique role of Turkmenistan's policy of neutrality in promoting the culture of peace at the global level. CIS Deputy Secretary General N. Seitimov emphasized the importance of Turkmenistan's neutral status for strengthening stability in the Commonwealth.
The cultural program of the event included demonstration of video clips, singing songs in the Turkmen language and a photo exhibition dedicated to the achievements of Turkmenistan.
