UNESCO conference held at the National Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan

The National Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan hosted a conference on inscription of the serial transnational nomination "Silk Road: Zaravshan Karakum Corridor" to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The conference was organized by the National Department for Protection, Study and Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments. This is reported by the online publication "Türkmenistan Habarlar Portaly".

The UNESCO World Heritage List of cultural and historical monuments includes seven sites located along the Silk Road: Amul-Kala, Rabat Mansaf, Karavansaray Konegala, At-Tahmalaj site, Karavansaray Akchakala, Karavansaray Ghaziljagala, Kushmeikhan Medieval Mound. All these historical sites are located on the Amul-Merv section of the Silk Road.
