Ashgabat, July 25 - Arzuw.news. Turkmenistan has published a new textbook "World History" for XII class with Russian language of instruction, covering the period from 2000 to mid-2025. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the Department of textbook preparation and publishing works of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The textbook was authored by J. Khatamov and J. Gurbangeldiev; the publication was prepared by the Turkmen State Publishing Service in 2025. The textbook examines the newest period of world history, including the events of the second half of the 20th century to maintain historical consistency.
The publication analyzes changes on the political map of the world by the end of the first quarter of the 21st century, the development of individual states, international relations, as well as progress in science, technology and culture. Special attention is paid to the relations of various states of the world with independent Turkmenistan.
The textbook analyzes the contribution of Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the development of the concept of political and economic development of the country. In studying the material, the principles of permanent neutrality of the Turkmen state are observed.
The publication includes documents, additional information, maps, statistical data, table assignments and biographical information about world political leaders. The aim of the textbook is to teach students to independently analyze historical events and draw conclusions about contemporary socio-political processes.
