The largest open-air seminar on ecology is planned to be held today in the area where the new center of the Akhal velayat is being built.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, chairman of Turkmenistan's upper house of parliament, familiarized himself with preparations for a seminar entitled "Organic melon production and its contribution to the environment" during a working visit to the Akhal province, the state news agency TDH reported.
According to the agency, 500 specialists will take part in the seminar.
To witness the event, Aidyn Turkguji, advisor on organizing World Records, arrived in Turkmenistan and briefed Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov on organizational issues and the purpose and objectives of the seminar.
According to Turkguji, the choice of location for the seminar was not accidental. As noted, the distinctive nature of this corner of the Turkmen land, developed agriculture and horticulture eloquently testify to the ecological well-being of the region.
We would like to add that Turkmenistan was the 2019 recipient of a certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records "For the largest environmental lesson held by the government of Turkmenistan in the city of Turkmenbashi on August 8, 2019."
