The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sierra Leone was accredited in the Turkmen capital on Wednesday, December 7. Diplomat Qamar Ali Badar's credentials were received by Gulshat Mammedova, Chairman of Turkmenistan's Majlis Milli Gengesh.
On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, the President congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the responsible position and expressed her sincere wishes for the success of his activities.
In the course of the conversation the parties discussed the upcoming diplomatic cooperation in scientific, educational, cultural, humanitarian, economic, tourism and sports spheres.
Sierra Leone and Turkmenistan signed a protocol on the beginning of diplomatic relations in the summer of 2020. The event took place in Iran at the building of the Turkmen embassy.
