On September 30, during the regular session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation, a number of new laws aimed at developing the economy, strengthening international cooperation and protecting the rights of citizens were drafted and adopted. This was reported by turkmenportal.com.
Among the legislative acts adopted is the Law of Turkmenistan on the Establishment of the Arkadag Medal of Turkmenistan. The established medal "Arkadag" is a state award for special services to the people and the state. The medal may be awarded to Turkmen and foreign citizens for their contribution to the development of social, public, humanitarian, charitable and volunteer activities, for special merits in the organization of medical services, rehabilitation, as well as financial and material assistance, counseling and technical assistance to children and young people in need of support.
