During a government meeting, the President of Turkmenistan signed a decree approving the structure of regional and Ashgabat khakimliks. The main purpose of the document is to further improve the work of the Turkmen capital and the administrative-territorial units of the country.
Speaking at a government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Gadyrgeldy Mushshikov briefed those present on the implementation of the Concept of development of the digital economy in the state for the period from 2019 to 2025. In particular, he announced the creation of a department in Ashgabat and regional administrations, whose main tasks will be to work with the digital system and ensure cybersecurity.
Summarizing the report, the head of state noted that today there are many information threats both inside and outside the country, so it is very important to achieve a high degree of protection of the state and society as a whole, as well as each individual person separately. As a result it will allow to provide practical realization of the human and citizen's rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution, to increase the welfare of Turkmenistan citizens, but also to strengthen the sovereignty and give the country an opportunity to develop steadily further. Comprehensive measures that are currently being taken and planned for implementation will contribute to the successful achievement of all goals.
Having signed the relevant decree, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the Vice Prime Minister to oversee the timely implementation of the tasks outlined in this document.
