Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan met with the head of Uzbekistan

In Tashkent talks were held Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov with the head of Uzbekistan.

The deputy prime minister of Turkmenistan handed over a letter from the Turkmen leader noting the high level of Turkmen-Uzbek relations, which demonstrate positive dynamics in various areas, especially in international politics and regional cooperation.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that interstate cooperation is strategic in nature and is actively developing on the basis of the principles of good neighborliness and friendship.

The parties discussed topical agreements reached during the negotiations at the highest level. In particular, they talked about the growth of trade turnover between the countries, joining efforts in industry, fuel and energy complex, water and agriculture, development of the transit role of the states. The need to develop interregional cooperation and joint cultural and humanitarian programs was separately noted.
