Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan meets with Governor of St. Petersburg at SPIEF-2021

On June 3, a delegation from Turkmenistan arrived in St. Petersburg to participate in SPIEF-2021. The economic forum, which will be held June 2-5, will discuss major economic topics.

As part of this event, Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Sergey Berdymukhamedov had a meeting. During the talks, the sides discussed topical issues of cooperation, particularly in the industrial sector.

As Beglov noted, strengthening partnership relations with Turkmenistan is important for St. Petersburg. Joint work is carried out in accordance with the "Road map" signed in 2020, as well as the approved plan until 2025.

Companies from St. Petersburg are implementing construction projects in Ashgabat related to road construction, construction of mudflow protection structures. Of particular importance is the cultural and historical link between the peoples, so attention is paid to the Turkmen-Russian school named after Pushkin. St. Petersburg scientists are also working in the field of archeology and oriental studies.
