On September 1, 159,000 first-graders will go to school in Turkmenistan

August 20, Ashgabat, /Arzuw NEWS/. The conference hall of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting of education workers chaired by Deputy Prime Minister P. Agamyradov. The meeting summed up the results of preparations for the new school year.

This year's first grade is expected to be attended by 159,374 children who, on behalf of President Berdymukhamedov, will receive locally assembled computers from the Agzybirlik tilsimaty Computer Technology Center of Turkmenistan's Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations.

All told, beginning September 1, there will be 81,367 teachers teaching more than 1,400,000 students at 1,868 public schools across the country.

The focus of the discussion was on the implementation of the new instructions The Ministry of Education's policy to ensure the safety of the educational process. According to it, schools will reform the schedule, divide large classes and reduce the time of lessons according to the age of students.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Education, his deputies, Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry, deputy governors of velayats and the city of Ashgabat, university rectors and teachers, principals of teacher training colleges and schools in Ashgabat and other representatives of the education system.
