The Minister of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan B. Annamamedov and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov had an official meeting in Tashkent. The politicians emphasized the indicators of strengthening economic ties between the two countries and expressed hope for a sustainable continuation of this course.
The parties stressed that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan has quintupled over the past four years. At present, a number of economic contracts signed last year at the highest level are in the phase of active implementation.
Based on the advantages and peculiarities of the economies of the two countries, the parties put forward proposals to intensify the partnership in the direction of promising industries.
