According to the results of the National Commission for UNESCO, which was held in Turkmenistan, the Koytendag State Reserve has a great chance to be included in the List of World Heritage Sites.
As Ch. Rustemova, the secretary of the National Commission, emphasized, the Koytendag Reserve has many unique features and natural monuments, which other similar reserves in different parts of the world are deprived of. She expressed her hope that this site, located on the territory of Turkmenistan, will soon be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The special conference focused on the urgent tasks that need to be solved in order for the reserve to be listed as a World Heritage Site.
