CIS observer mission assesses early voting in Turkmenistan

Accredited representatives of the Commonwealth of Independent States Observer Mission are assessing the progress of the early elections of deputies to the Mejlis, which started on March 16, 2023. This is reported by the daily periodical "Neutral Turkmenistan".

Mission members and international experts had the opportunity to visit all 2,644 polling stations located in Ashgabat and all provinces of Turkmenistan. Voting monitoring has already begun - it will be conducted both during the early voting period and on the day of the main elections on March 26.

Residents of Turkmenistan can express their civic position ahead of schedule if on election day they are unable to visit polling stations in the country due to traveling abroad or for other reasons.
