Negotiations between the National Leader of the Turkmen People and the President of Tajikistan were held

The Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports that on May 15 this year, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.

During the conversation, the sides discussed bilateral relations between the countries, which are based on the principles of mutual respect and good-neighborliness. Special emphasis was placed on Serdar Berdimuhamedov's previous working visit to Tajikistan, which resulted in a package of signed documents on cooperation in various spheres of state life.

During the telephone conversation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Emomali Rahmon also noted the effectiveness of cooperation between the two states within the framework of international communities.

At the end of the conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people invited the President of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan for a return visit.
