On Monday, October 23, 2023, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting via digital communication on the progress of works in the agro-industrial complex of the country. This was reported on the air of the news program Watan.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister T. Atakhalliev, as well as the khakims of Balkan, Mary, Dashoguz, Balkan and Akhal velayats. The khakims reported to the President on seasonal agricultural works in the fields of the velayats. In particular, they talked about timely harvesting of cotton in the fields and mutual settlements with tenants. Sowing of wheat and irrigation works continue in the agricultural lands of the velayats.
The provincial governors also reported on the preparation of administrative buildings for the heating season, on the progress of construction and repair works at household and industrial facilities, on preparations for the holiday of the Turkmen Alabai.
Having heard the reports, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the responsible persons to strictly control the work on cotton harvesting and sowing of wheat so that all measures to ensure a good harvest were taken in accordance with agro-technical norms.
