Copies of credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye accepted in Turkmenistan

On January 8, 2024, a ceremony of presenting copies of credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov was held by Ahmet Demirok, who was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Turkmenistan. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed readiness to assist him in carrying out his diplomatic mission. During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in political and diplomatic, cultural, humanitarian and trade and economic spheres.

The sides also noted the prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and interaction within the framework of international organizations. The need to strengthen and expand interaction between the countries at the highest and high levels was also emphasized.
