Analyst V. Trapeznikov spoke about the development of transportation in Turkmenistan

Analyst Valentin Trapeznikov spoke about the dynamics of development of the transportation sector in Turkmenistan in recent years. This is reported by the Internet edition "CentralAsia.news".

The transport sector occupies a significant share in the country's GDP. Active development of this area is ensured due to the investment policy of the state. The indicators of capital investments in the transportation sector in recent years exceed the 2007 indicators almost 6 times. Other economic indicators of the sector as a whole are also growing.

A significant amount of investment in the transport sector of the national economy allows for the successful implementation of a number of large-scale projects. Three sections of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway have been opened since 2021. Major projects are also being implemented in the sphere of railway transport, and the network of international airports in the country's velayats is being expanded.
