Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers

On October 18, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where a number of issues of state life were considered, TDH reports.

In the course of the meeting the Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the preparation of a new draft of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan, as well as on the introduction of amendments and additions to a number of existing specialized legislative acts.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimiradov reported on the measures being implemented to improve the activities, international accreditation and control tests of laboratories of the State Reference Center of Turkmenistan and the Main State Service "Türkmenstandartlary" in accordance with international standards, which will contribute to the implementation of work in the standardization system according to the realities of the time, further modernization of the specialized material and technical base, the successful solution of the tasks set by the Government of Turkmenistan.

Next, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on preparations for the XXIX International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2024" scheduled to be held in Ashgabat on October 23-25 this year.

As noted, many representatives from various foreign companies as well as domestic enterprises and entrepreneurs have registered to participate in the event.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the progress of seasonal works in the agro-industrial complex of the country, on preparations for the events to be held on the occasion of the Holiday of the Turkmen Alabai.

During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov reported on the preparations for the celebration of the Day of Workers of Construction and Industrial Complex and the international exhibition and conference timed to this date, the opening of a multifunctional solar and wind power plant with a capacity of 10 megawatts in Kizylarvat etrap of Balkan velayat and the enterprise for the production of ceramic products "Bäherden" in Baherden etrap of Ahal velayat.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Atdaev said that the Ministry of Textile Industry plans to build a textile complex in Saparmurat Turkmenbashi etrap of Dashoguz province to produce cotton yarn, cotton and terry fabrics, as well as ready-made garments.

According to Deputy Prime Minister B. Atdayev, the construction of the new textile complex will not only produce and export high-quality, environmentally friendly import-substituting textile products, but will also create new jobs.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova presented for President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's consideration a draft decree of the head of state on announcing a contest for the "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry" Presidential Award among the figures of literature, culture and art, amateur young singers and gifted children.

It is planned to organize creative competitions "Ýaňlan, Diýarym!", "Çalsana, bagşy!" and "Garaşsyzlyzgyň merjen däneleri".

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdyeva reported on the international scientific-practical conferences planned to be held in higher educational institutions of the country in November-December this year.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov on behalf of the members of the Government cordially congratulated the Head of State on the successful holding of the International Forum "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - the Basis of Peace and Development", timed to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi, celebrated at the world level.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the results of the working visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, held from October 15 to 17 this year.

Then Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the ongoing work to further improve the country's railway transport.

Addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, the President of Turkmenistan thanked everyone for the high organization of the International Forum "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - the Basis of Peace and Development" dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi and congratulated on its success.

At present, activities related to the anniversary of the Turkmen philosopher continue. Creative figures, writers and poets are doing tremendous work in this direction, the head of state said.

In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that at the end of the year, citizens who have distinguished themselves in labor will be awarded in a solemn ceremony and their merits will be appreciated.
