Turkmenistan continues to assist in the evacuation of foreign citizens through its territory amid the tense situation in the Middle East. To date, 52 states have asked the Turkmen authorities to assist in the return of their citizens to their homeland.
The Republic ensures the unimpeded transit of people leaving Iran through specially organized humanitarian corridors. All incoming requests from foreign countries are dealt with promptly.
The Turkmen authorities coordinate the evacuation process in close cooperation with diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in Turkmenistan. This approach makes it possible to ensure an organized and safe exit of citizens of various countries through Turkmen territory.
The appeals to Turkmenistan are related to the current tense situation in the Middle East region, which forces many countries to seek alternative routes for the return of their citizens home.
