President Berdimuhamedov emphasized that China is one of the most important strategic partners of Turkmenistan. The Head of State emphasized the importance of his meeting with President Xi Jinping at the second Central Asia-China Summit in Astana.
China has been Turkmenistan's main trade, economic and investment partner for many years. The Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline is a vivid example of effective partnership in the fuel and energy sector.
Turkmenistan is in favor of coordinating the Silk Road Revival strategy with China's One Belt, One Road initiative. Special attention is paid to deepening ties in science, education, health and culture.
Ambassador Ji Shumin assured that he will make every effort to deepen and expand the traditionally friendly interstate relations between the two countries.
