Avaza, August 7 - Arzuw.news. The National Coordinators of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) and UN Resident Coordinators met today at the National Tourist Zone Avaza within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This is reported by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.
The meeting explored strategies for mainstreaming action programs into national policies and development plans to ensure coordination and cooperation. Participants emphasized the importance of ensuring coherence between national priorities and international commitments.
Special attention was paid to the need for early integration of the Awazi Action Program into national development strategies. The participants discussed innovative approaches and best practices related to the implementation of this program.
The creation of interdepartmental working groups with the participation of representatives of the Ministries of Transport, Trade, Finance and Planning was proposed as an effective mechanism. It is also recommended to develop an appropriate Road Map for the implementation of the program.
It will be recalled that the National Focal Points Network was established in 2022 by the Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States.
The participants emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between the LLDC national coordinators and UN Resident Coordinators for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for the high organizational level of the event.
