Ashgabat, August 4 - Arzuw.news. Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Somalia Isaac Mohamud Mursal. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the talks, the sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in the active development of bilateral relations in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields.
The participants of the meeting noted the effectiveness of partnership between the two states within the framework of international organizations, especially in the UN structures. The Somali side expressed support for Turkmenistan's peace-loving initiatives and readiness to continue constructive interaction to ensure universal peace and sustainable development.
The Turkmen side emphasized the country's commitment to the ideals of peace, mutual respect and understanding between peoples.
Somali representatives highlighted the importance of the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3) and praised the efforts of the Government of Turkmenistan in organizing this international event.
