Lebap province has launched large-scale preparations for the celebration of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence with the organization of multiple cultural events throughout the region. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the publication Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
The central festive ceremony will be held in front of the "Türkmeniň ak öýi" building in Turkmenabad with the participation of singers, musicians and dance groups from all etraps and cities of the province. As part of the celebrations, performances of the winners of the state round of the "Pearls of Independence" contest and creative teams of children's art schools will be broadcast.
The folk-dance group "Amul" will present national dances "Noý-noý" and "Çapak" in a festive concert in Ashgabat. The Special School of Arts of the velayat is preparing a concert for "Türkmen owazy" TV channel with songs dedicated to Independence and the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The cultural program includes the organization of large-scale exhibitions reflecting the national heritage and development of the country over the years of Independence. An exhibition of works by talented artists is planned at the Turkmenabad Children's Art School.
The Regional Museum of History and Local Lore will hold a conference "Independence is the Glory of the Fatherland" and a large-scale exhibition on the national heritage. The regional library will organize a conference "Strengthening the foundation of Independence, the Motherland is confidently moving forward" and a book exhibition "The Melody of Independence in our country".
The Seyitnazar Seidi State Musical Drama Theater is preparing the premiere of the historical play "Syrak" by playwright Govshutgeldy Danatarov directed by Dovran Jorayev.
