President of Turkmenistan meets with UN Secretary General

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres in New York. During the talks, the sides discussed topical issues on the international agenda. It is reported Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan. 

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the successful start of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and invited the Secretary General to participate in the International Forum of Peace and Trust in Ashgabat on December 12.

António Guterres praised Turkmenistan's organization of the recent UN conference in Avaza and the country's contribution to strengthening global stability. He emphasized the important role of Turkmenistan's neutral status.

The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further development of constructive dialog to solve common problems.
