The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus hosted talks between Ambassador of Turkmenistan Nazarguly Shagulyyev and Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Pavel Utyupin. The dialogue focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and preparations for the Peace and Confidence Forum, scheduled to be held in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025. It is reported MIC.
During the meeting, Ambassador Shagulyev emphasized the strategic importance of the upcoming forum, which will be held in the context of the International Year of Peace and Confidence proclaimed by the UN and will coincide with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. The parties agreed on the organizational parameters of the Belarusian delegation's participation, stressing the role of the forum as a platform for strengthening international dialogue.
Special attention was paid to the systemic development of Turkmen-Belarusian relations. The participants in the talks confirmed mutual interest in intensifying political dialog, including regular consultations between the foreign ministries, and outlined prospects for expanding cooperation in the humanitarian and scientific spheres.
At the end of the meeting, the sides noted the unity of approaches to further deepening the partnership, noting that such a dynamic is in line with the national interests of both States and their interaction within multilateral platforms, including the United Nations.
