Myahri Byashimova met with the head of the Turkmen-Georgian Parliamentary Friendship Group David Matikashvili on May 22. The talks were reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The topic of the conversation was partnership relations between Georgia and Turkmenistan, as well as possible ways of their development in various directions.
The sides emphasized the special importance of contacts between the presidents of the countries bilaterally and within the framework of international communities. The importance of the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups in strengthening political and diplomatic relations between the two countries was emphasized.
The Turkmen diplomat also noted the importance of the signed Cooperation Program for the period of 2023-2024, within the framework of which the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Cooperation in the Economic Sphere operates and inter-ministerial consultations are regularly held.
