Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev met with the appointed British Ambassador to Turkmenistan Stephen Conlon on May 22, 2023. This is reported by the Foreign Ministry of the country.
Vepa Khadzhiev accepted copies of his credentials from the hands of Stephen Conlon. The Turkmen diplomat congratulated the guest on his appointment, wished him good luck in his work and expressed readiness to support his diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, the Turkmen and British diplomats discussed topical issues in trade-economic, political-diplomatic and cultural-humanitarian directions.
The representative of Turkmenistan noted the importance of developing inter-parliamentary relations in the Turkmen-British format. It was noted that the countries have similar positions on topical global and regional issues.
