The results of the work of the Mejlis for January-October 2024 were considered in Ashgabat

On November 8, a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers was held in Ashgabat, where Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova spoke about the work of the Mejlis for the current year. This is reported by the Internet portal "Westiabad."

In the ten months of 2024, 23 new laws and 19 new decrees were adopted. Among the significant laws are: "On Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency", "On Hydrometeorological Activities" and "On Establishing a Jubilee Medal in Honor of the 300th Anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fraghi". Other adopted legislative acts relate to the legal support of the country's foreign policy in accordance with international standards and national principles.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that it is necessary to pay close attention to the development of draft laws that correspond to the realities of the era and lead to strengthening cooperation with other states in the international arena.
