Chairman of Turkmengaz State Corporation Maksat Babaev spoke at the plenary session "New Trends in the Global Energy Market and Prospects for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" of the OGT-2024 conference. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
During his speech, he spoke about the start of construction of the Afghan section of the TAPI gas pipeline. This gas pipeline will be able to deliver gas from Turkmenistan's Galkynysh field to three extraction points in Afghanistan, three extraction points in Pakistan and across the Pakistan-India border to India. The development of fields in the Turkmen section of the Caspian Sea is actively continuing. This year, special attention will be paid to attracting investments in offshore blocks and the next stage of development of the Galkynysh field.
At the end of his speech, Maksat Babayev emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the context of the development of the energy sector of Turkmenistan.
