On October 26, a meeting of business representatives of Turkmenistan and India was held in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The video conference was organized by the Indian Embassy in Ashgabat, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Forum for Integrated Agricultural Development (FFIAD, India).
In discussing the prospects for cooperation About 40 Turkmen and Indian companies from the food and agricultural sectors took part in the event. Participants made presentations on their businesses and discussed export-import issues, including logistics and legislation.
Speaking at the event, Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan D. Rejepov stressed the enormous opportunities for intensifying cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. Indian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Dr. Vidhu P. Nair emphasized the need to continue work on communication and trade during the pandemic. According to the diplomat, food and agriculture play a major role in the development of Turkmen-Indian trade relations.
The event included a meeting between the Ambassador and the head of the Turkmen Chamber of Commerce, where the parties spoke in favor of holding similar conferences in the future.
