Valuable manuscripts of the poet were brought from Russia to Turkmenistan on the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fraghi

In preparation for the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great philosopher and poet of the East, Makhtumkuli Fraghi, Turkmen scientists from the Makhtumkuli National Institute of Language, Literature and Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan visited Moscow and St. Petersburg, where they familiarized themselves with many sources of Turkmen art and culture kept in literary collections. One of the most important goals of the trip was to search for manuscripts, microfilms, various historical evidence about the life and creative path of the legendary thinker. During the trip, the Turkmen scientists met with leading researchers of specialized institutes in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Fruitful meetings with Russian orientalists resulted in the manuscripts of Makhtumkuli Fraghi and several unique manuscripts related to Turkmen art and literature brought to Turkmenistan.
