Embassy of Turkmenistan in France jointly with UNESCO organized a cultural event to celebrate Novruz holiday

A cultural action was organized on Tuesday 14 March 2023 to celebrate the festival of the vernal equinox and the awakening of nature, Nowruz. The event took place at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. It was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France together with UNESCO delegations and Embassies of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Iran and many other states. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The cultural event was patronized by UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay. The event included a festive concert, exhibition and tasting of national dishes of different countries.

Turkmenistan presented handmade carpets, national souvenirs, costumes and jewelry at the exhibition. The Turkmen band "Türkmen äheňleri" played ethnic instruments.
