Turkmenistan's diplomatic missions in Tbilisi and Bucharest organized bike rallies

The diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan in Tbilisi and Bucharest organized bicycle events. The events were timed to coincide with World Bike Day and the 30th anniversary of Turkmen state independence. The non-governmental association "Green Revolution" provided assistance in the Romanian capital and the National Cycling Federation of this country in Georgia.

Participants in the Bucharest bike ride included students from Turkmenistan studying at Romanian universities, employees of the diplomatic mission, and representatives of Green Revolution.

Opening the bicycle race, Annamammet Annayev, Head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Romania, emphasized that physical culture and sport development, as well as improvement of the level of eco-culture are among the key vectors of Turkmenistan's state policy.

The head of Green Revolution, Raluca Fischer, reminded the audience that World Bike Day is celebrated every year on June 3. This date was established on April 12, 2018, by a resolution of the UN General Assembly. The initiator of the document was Turkmenistan. The head of the association praised the current level of cooperation between her organization and representatives of Turkmenistan.

A similar rally was held in Tbilisi. Delegates from the Georgian National Cycling Federation, coaches and athletes participated in the rally.

In his speech before the start of the action, the head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Georgia, Dovletmurat Muratov, said that World Bike Day was widely celebrated at the global level. It helps popularize sport as a way of peaceful coexistence and contributes to the establishment of closer cooperation in this sphere.

It was emphasized that Turkmenistan pays much attention to the development of physical culture and sports and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. The participants of the rally expressed the common belief that it contributes to further strengthening of the Turkmen-Georgian friendship and partnership.
