During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on April 6, Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the activities of the body for the first three months of 2024. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.
During the first quarter, the deputies of the Mejlis adopted 9 new laws and 8 resolutions, including "On the establishment of the jubilee medal Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna". Other bills are related to energy efficiency, hydrometeorological activities, ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the People's Republic of China on international road communication.
Since the beginning of the year, 11 international meetings have been held with the participation of Mejlis deputies, 25 seminars on improving legislation, 7 working trips. The Head of State assessed the effectiveness of the Mejlis' activities and gave instructions to continue work on the development of the legal and regulatory sphere.
